About EG Organizing
I believe an organized home should feel as good as it functions. My approach combines creativity and practicality to create spaces that feel calmer, more intentional, and easier to live in.
How I found my way to Professional Organizing
I’m Emese (pronounced Ema-sheh), also known as Emi for simplicity. Here's a little bit about my background and the journey that led me to professional organizing.
I was born in Transylvania, where Hungarian was my first language. When I was young, my family moved to Vienna, Austria, and later to the United States.
Art has always been a big part of my life, so after moving to New York City, I began a new chapter as a decorative finisher and artist.
My years in decorative arts
Before founding EG Organizing, LLC, I dedicated 22 years to a decorative painting company, where I grew through many roles: artist, administrative- and studio assistant, purchasing agent, studio organizer, manager, and team leader. My work touched every part of the process, from writing proposals to overseeing projects that brought faux finishes to life in both residential and commercial spaces.
One of the most memorable experiences was leading my team during the painting and faux-finishing phase of the US Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, MD. That project not only challenged and inspired me but also earned recognition in the form of a safety award from the Academy.
Throughout those years, I had the privilege of working alongside interior designers, architects, contractors, vendors, and clients from all over the world.
These collaborations sharpened my communication skills and taught me how to anticipate and meet clients’ needs with care and professionalism.
They also strengthened my ability to stay organized and adaptable. These skills became the foundation for building and running my own business.
International ventures
My career path carried me not only across the United States but also around the globe. I had the privilege of working in several European countries, as well as in Hong Kong, Singapore, Beijing, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, the Caribbean, Panama, and Puerto Rico. Each new place brought its own culture, challenges, and ways of working, which broadened my perspective and taught me the value of adaptability, communication, and creativity in any setting.
I've always loved creating organized spaces and have seen firsthand how much easier life feels when everything has a place. When your home or workspace is organized, it's easier to focus, stay productive, and enjoy your day without the constant stress of clutter.
That's why I became a professional organizer. Whether you need help de-cluttering, organizing your home or office, or preparing for a move, my goal is to create simple, personalized systems that make everyday life feel easier, calmer, and more manageable.
Becoming a Professional Organizer
Today, I am proud to be a Certified Professional Organizer based in New York City.
My love for neatness and structure has always been part of who I am - whether it was reorganizing living spaces, setting up work areas on projects, or finding ways to make time more efficient. What started as a natural instinct eventually grew into my true calling: helping people create spaces that are functional, calm, and supportive.
My philosophy
At the heart of my work is a simple but meaningful goal: to enhance quality of life.
I approach each project with patience, empathy, and without judgment, knowing that every person’s story and space are unique.
I’m fluent in English, Hungarian, and German, which allows me to connect with clients from different backgrounds with ease.
If life feels busy, overwhelming, or simply harder to manage than you'd like, I'd love to help. Together, we'll create organized, functional spaces that reduce stress, simplify your daily routines, and make your home work better for you.
As a Certified Professional Organizer serving New York City and beyond, I help people de-clutter, organize their homes and offices, prepare for moves, unpack, and create personalized systems that are easy to maintain.
Whether you need help with one room, your entire home, or you're preparing for a move, I'd love to hear from you. Let's create a home that feels calmer, more organized, and easier to enjoy every day.
